About the Scheme:

Farmers work day and night to grow crops, but animals such as cows, buffaloes, and wild animals often destroy the fields within a short time. Installing barbed wire fencing becomes necessary to protect crops, but the cost of fencing is very high and many small and medium farmers cannot afford it on their own. To solve this problem, the Government of Rajasthan has started the Kantedar Tarbandi Yojana.

Under this scheme, eligible farmers can apply to receive financial assistance for fencing their agricultural land and protecting their crops from animal damage. This scheme is designed to help farmers check eligibility, understand benefits, and complete the application process easily.

The scheme supports farmers in safeguarding crops from animals and provides a government subsidy on barbed wire fencing costs. Small and medium farmers can apply for assistance, and crop protection through fencing helps in stabilizing farm income. The application process is carried out as per government guidelines.

Kantedar Tarbandi Yojana is operated by the Agriculture Department, Rajasthan, for the year 2024. Under this scheme, farmers can receive a subsidy of up to 50 percent of the fencing cost or a maximum amount of ₹40,000. Applications are accepted in offline mode, and the last date has not yet been announced. The State Agriculture Department is the official authority for this scheme.

Farmers in Rajasthan face continuous crop losses due to animal movement in open fields. Fencing is the most effective solution, but its cost is a major challenge. Through this scheme, farmers can apply to receive government subsidy, reduce their financial burden, secure crops, minimize losses, and improve long-term farm productivity.

After approval of the application, the farmer receives financial support equal to 50 percent of the fencing cost, limited to ₹40,000. Once fencing work is completed and verified by officials, the subsidy amount is transferred directly to the farmer’s bank account. This ensures better crop safety and steady income.

Farmers are eligible to apply if they are permanent residents of Rajasthan, own at least 0.5 hectare of agricultural land, and the land is registered in their name for the last 10 years. The applicant must be willing to bear part of the fencing cost. Farmers who have already taken fencing subsidy on the same land under any other scheme are not eligible.

Farmers who do not meet land requirements, have incomplete land records, or have already received fencing benefits earlier should not apply. Providing incorrect information may lead to application rejection.

To apply, farmers need to visit the nearest Agriculture Office or Government Facilitation Center to collect the application form. The form must be filled carefully, required documents attached, and submitted to the concerned office. After submission, officials will conduct a field inspection. Once verification is completed, the subsidy amount is credited directly to the farmer’s bank account.

The scheme is currently active and applications are being accepted in offline mode. No official update regarding online application has been released yet. Farmers are advised to follow official instructions issued by the Agriculture Department.
